Tuesday Treasures--HOPE

With the Labor Day weekend behind us, many look forward to the changing seasons, anticipate a Fall that will bring with it a bit more socializing and, in general, something different than we have experienced during these last six months of COVID. I have pondered what our new normal will look like. In so many ways, each of us have experienced grief in new found ways. We miss what we once had. We yearn for something we may never have again. Will the changing seasons bring hope or will the darkness of winter take even a de

eper toll?

Iisn't it just like God to help us amid our struggles and unknowns? When the Israelites were in exile (in a way it feels like we have been in exile, doesn't it?) God gave them hope, told them to not give up, to live and to know He was with them. He said in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you..

.plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." When we struggle, grieve or find future hope a distant reality, we can be assured God is with us and our future (with Christ on earth and in eternity) will bring joy beyond measure. Seasons in our lives may change but God makes each day hope and joy filled. Live in hope and look for joy each day!
